S.S.Dewsbury arrived Parkeston Quay for the last time before leaving under tow for scrapping at Flushing.
Dewsbury returned to service post-war in late 1945 on the Harwich – Antwerp route ” . Passed to British Railways in 1948 she was
finally withdrawn from service in January 1959
