This Day in History: 1893-02-18
A Lecture on alcohol was given at the Harwich Central School. The
lecturer from the Band of the Hope Union told the audience in the packed hall to be “always aware of the striking effects” of alcohol. Students from the school who made the most informative reports were given prizes.
