Dovercourt had its first streaker when a sportsman threw off his clothes
to win a bet by running naked across the road. The man sprinted from
Harwich and Parkeston Supporters Club to the Royal Oak pub. At first
the streaker denied the story but later admitted he did it to win a bet.
