The conspicuous Gallantry Medal was awarded to Flight Sergeant Engineer Barry Wright, only son of Mr and Mrs F.H. Wright, of Lee Road,Dovercourt. He had made twenty-seven operational flights over Germany, more than a third of which had been Berlin.
