This Day in History: 1903-11-07
A notice has been given that the corporation of the borough has undertaken
a bacteriological examination of two samples of cockles and mussels taken
from the Bathside foreshore in Harwich. All shell fish
must be regarded with suspicion and as being unsafe for human food.
