This Day in History: 1954-11-12
The first new school to be built in the borough of Harwich for 40 years,the new Hill Secondary Modern School,is beginning to take shape on the Hall Lane
site at Dovercourt. The first instalment of the school now under construction is
planned to accommodate 600 children.
