This Day in History: 1933-11-06
Work began on a new multi-purpose buidling at Parkeston Quay. The 900ft long, 60ft wide “steel shed” was being built as a passenger station, Customs offices and goods warehouse. The development was part of a wider scheme at the port which included an extension to the quay itself.
