This Day in History: 1974-02-03
A Driver made a dramatic escape after his car plunged into the
harbour at Parkeston Quay. The incident happened after the motorist was
leaving a British Rail ferry which had arrived from the Hook of Holland. He
was trapped under water but managed to squeeze through a window.
