This Day in History: 1903-04-04
A Boating accident in which seven men narrowly escaped from drowning in Harwich harbour. The incident was witnessed by a large crowd of people on Harwich Pier. Boats were launched from HMS Mersey and Landrail. All were rescued suffering from exhaustion.
