Two lightning jet aircraft had a mid-air collision 40 miles off Harwich. Lifeboats from Harwich,Alderburgh,Lowestoft and Gorleston, all searched for the pilots. 1 pilot was transferred to the Harwich Lifeboat the other pilot was still missing presumed dead.
