The Passenger ferry ss Bruges was launched on this day 1920 at John Brown’s Shipyard, Clydebank. Bruges served on the Harwich-Antwerp route run by the GER, she met her fate on the 11th of June 1940 when she was bombed and sunk on route to Le Havre.
