The M.v St. Edmund arrived at Parkeston Quay on Christmas Eve. Capable of carrying 1,400 passengers and cabins for 671 passengers and another 177 in sleeping lounges. Her reign on the Hook route was not to be long.1982 she was requisitioned for use in the Falklands.
